Tarheel Pride, it’s deserving!

SO how good are my Tarheels looking right about now?

Let’s let the numbers speak for themselves:

As a team, the Tar Heels are shooting a top-notch 76.1% from the line, good for 10th place in the country.(And interestingly so, Memphis and Kansas are not even in the Top 50!)

Individual Leaders include:

Tyler Hansbrough averaging 22.0 PPG, and 10.1 REB

Ty Lawson averaging 5.8 AST and1.8 steals.

And also, off the bench we have Deon Thompson averaging 1.5 Blocks/game and J.B. Tanner leading with a 57.1% 3-PT%.

At the line, our bench is full or spectacular shooters:

Ellington – 89.7%
Green – 86.0%
Hansbrough – 82.4%
Lawson – 81.5%

In deciding who to give the ball to at the end of the game, look no further than these 4 guys above. Stephenson and Thompson are shooting 51 and 42% respectively, so I’d stick with a game winning 3 by Ellington

Next up, Boston College on Thursday. I’m pretty sure my boys are loving their break this week!

Thankfully, we are 4-1 in conference play right now, (19-1), and have pulled off a few nail biting wins along the way. This puts us 2nd in the ACC, right on the Heels of Duke! Feb. 6th here we come!

I came across the FUNNIEST thing just now! I found Duke’s letter to Michael Jordan after he turned down their recruitment offers to play basketball in 1980! It just goes to show that even the greatest Bball player alive wouldnt even be stupid enough to lower his standards and play for DUKE! Wanna be like Mike….? Stick with the greatest university on the planet…UNC-Chapel Hill baby! The legend continues….

Oh yea, it was announced today that my CHARGERS will be hosting the Saints oversees. Roger Goodell is all about exploiting his NFL franchise all over the globe. I have to say though, it was pretty exciting watching a NFL game taking place in London, Wembley Stadium is spectacular! Atleast we’ll be giving our London counterparts a better game, remember Miami SUCKED this past year AND they played the Giants. I can’t wait to watch San Diego play oversees! October 26th, set the date!
